INSANITY: DAY 2
WOW! Did I want to punch Shaun T through the screen?! I sure did. Day 2 is all about cardio plyometrics. Just the warm up wears me out! The one thing I really enjoy about the way he does his workouts is the cool down/stretching between each interval workout. I get time to relax and breathe before we start all over again. If I keep it up there's no way I won't be ready for summer and a bikini again! Not to mention I am hitting the gym tonight with some of the wives for zumba. Two work outs in one day! Who am I?!

Are you Insane?!
I am definately INSANE! I started insanity this morning and man am I out of shape! Insanity is a total body workout designed to get you in shape in 60 days! Much like P90X, insanity has no "extras" you need to buy to work out. That's one thing that turned me off of P90X... there was a pull up bar and weights and all this other "stuff" I didnt want to have to purchase in order to work out. Ever since I had Adalyn I have been trying and trying to lose the extra baby weight and I just can't get those last 20lbs off! While the 20lbs doesnt bother me as much as how "flabby" my stomach area still is. I wouldn't mind having those 20 extra pounds if they were toned extra pounds! Shaun T is the creator of Insanity, as well as, hip hop abs! I am thinking about doing insanity in the morning and hip hop abs in the evening.
Hip hop abs recently did a workout lab with all moms who just had babies and EVERY one of them lost 6 inches and 2 dress/jean sizes in ONE WEEK!! Are you kidding me?! ONE WEEK!? Thats enough to make me try it even if my results aren't the same. I used to dance all the time and think it'd be a nice break from my day. Plus Adalyn watches from her walker and thinks all my workout moves are hilarious. She loves to hold my water bottle for me while I'm shedding the pounds!
After 60 days I'll post my before and after shots. Now thats INSANE!

Dessert Dilema
No sugar?! Dessert is without a doubt our most favorite part of any meal. This whole eating healthy has caused me to do a little research on healthy sweets and here is what I've found.
Banana Ice Cream in 1 step! Yes 1 step!
All you need here is orange juice and frozen raspberries. Pour the orange juice into a ice cube try and freeze. Once frozen toss the orange juice cubes along with a bag of frozen raspberries into the trusty food proccessor and in no time at all you have raspberry sorbet. I recommend letting the orange juice ice cubes melt slightly before you put them in the food proccessor. In my case I just added a tad bit more orange juice as it chopped.
Banana Ice Cream in 1 step! Yes 1 step!
This was pretty amazing.. All you need for two people is 3 to 4 ripe bananas. I cut them up into bite size pieces and popped them into the freezer. Once the banana pieces are frozen toss them all into a food proccessor and chop for a good minute or two and vioala! Banana ice cream! The frozen bananas seriously turn into ice cream. I couldn't believe it and it was so easy. Add a teaspoon of honey or a tablespoon of peanut butter for an added flavor and serve.

As I find more easy to make easy for you recipes I will be sure to share! Eating healthy doesnt mean you have to skip out on your favorite part of the meal!
New Year, New Diet
Since Scott and I got back from Indiana we have decided to start 2011 by eating healthy and getting back into shape! This is by no means an easy battle. I am arguably not fat, however, I still have 20lbs I didn't have before Adalyn come into this world. I dont necessarily want to lose this 20lbs but I could stand to tone it up a bit. The past two weeks have been hard but I can already see a difference! Yay us! I thought I'd share just a sample day of our diet:
Breakfast: Non-fat yogurt with fruit and granola
Lunch: Soup and Fiber Bar
Snack: Banana
Dinner: Tilapia and brown rice with a veggie... yes a veggie

OFF THE CHARTS!
Little miss Adalyn had her 4 month well baby check-up today. She weighs 17lbs 3oz and is 25 1/4inches long!! She is in the 95% for her height and 90% for weight. HELLO SUPERMODEL! We sure have a tall one on our hands. I have resorted to buying clothes by the weight recommendations and not the months. We went to the Carter's outlet the other day and she's now in 9 MONTH clothes. By christmas time I'll probabyl end up buying 12 MONTH stuff!! Today she started to master the art of rolling over. Thats a lot of weight to move all by yourself and she gets her face stuck on the blanket, but she is mastering it one tug at a time. I got so excited when I saw her almost all the way over that it scared her and she stopped. SILLY MOMMY! The nurse almost died when I told her she sleeps for 12 hours at night. We sure are some lucky parents! Adalyn goes down around 7:30-8ish and wakes around the same time. I dont know how she sleeps through all the noise. Here in Windsor at our new house they are installing a new water main and its going right through our front yard. The street we live on is SR 52 which connects Sedalia and Clinton so traffic is pretty heavy even at night. Semis are a 24hr occurance. Now they have this giant metal thing in the road right outside the house to cover a hole and everyone has to drive over it. It sounds like they are about to drive right through the house! It's a good thing I taught her to sleep through sound from day one. The doctor could still hear her heart murmur and continues to say its not a big deal. We go back to cardiology in KC the 1st of December to check our her hypoplasia again. Hopefully this time we'll get cleared and no furthur action will have to take place. Prayers for that please! We are looking forward to the pumpkin patch this weekend and adalyn's first pumpkin carving :) Pictures will be posted soon after. Thanks for stopping by! Remember, babies aren't fat they're just healthy!

"Oh Say Can You See..."
Daddy finally got his stripe! Congratulations to my amazing husband who is now SSgt Marchbank. We are so very proud of him and he worked harder than any other person in the Air Force to get this recent promotion. Scott invited Adalyn and I to attend the promotion ceremony last week. I really wanted to go and he said it was alright to bring Adalyn. The ceremony was at 3:30pm and he told us to arrive early to make sure we got a seat. We got to the club around 3:10 and there were already people claiming their spots. After adalyns morning nap I kept her up thinking she'd fall asleep in the car on the way and take her afternoon nap while the ceremony was going on. BOY was I wrong. She woke up on the way into the club and I tried to rock her back asleep in the carseat. That wasn't working so I let her sit on my lap. In the recent weeks she has learned she has a voice and loves to use that voice. Adalyn was doing so well until the singing of the National Anthem which is when she decided she would be the one to sing everyone the National Anthem. Needless to say we had to vacate the ballroom and watch the ceremony from afar. She talked the ENTIRE time the ceremony was going on. I would sneak over to watch through the glass door and the second she saw all the men and women in uniform, jabber jaws kicked back in! At one point she was "talking" and laughing so loud we had to actually go outside. We did however get to see daddy accept his award and get his picture taken with the General... through a glass door of course. Someone out in the lobby told me "You can't be mad at her for being happy!" Ain't that the truth. We have the most happy baby in the world and she continues to be such a blessing in our lives. We miss you all and cant wait to see you!
